Azure pH Increaser raises the pH of swimming pool water. The proper range is 7.2 -7.8. This range will allow your sanitizer to work more effectively, reduce equipment corrosion, reduce eye irritation and reduce skin dryness.
The pH should be measured each time a sanitizer is used. While the pool water is circulating, broadcast this product directly into the deep end of the pool. For every 10,000 gallons of water, add the following amounts: 1 lb. when pH is below 6.6, lb. when pH is between 6.6 and 7.0, lb. when pH is between 7.0 and 7.2
Check pH again after 2 hours. Repeat treatment if necessary.
TO PREVENT pH VARIATIONS: Keep the total alkalinity between 80-120 parts per million (ppm) in pools using sodium dichloro-s-triazinetrione hydrated (dichlor), brominating tablets (used primarily in spas and hot tubs), sodium hypochlorite, or calcium hypochlorite for sanitizer. For pools using trichloro-s-triazinetrione (trichlor) as a sanitizer, keep the total alkalinity at 110-150 ppm. Each month test alkalinity with a reliable test kit.
